Purpose of the department:
It is to provide training that meets modern social requirements, to conduct sociological research on social issues that contribute to the fulfillment of the school's mission, and to train socially responsible and socially responsible professionals.

Trains social workers, sociologists and sociology teachers.
Our department is the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work of the National University of Mongolia, the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the National University of Mongolia, the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the Academy of Management, the Department of Social Work and Psychoanalysis of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. cooperates with development centers and other non-governmental organizations.
The “Last Vision” training and research center operates under the department and plays an important role in organizing students' research work, conducting sociological research, and disseminating sociological knowledge and information. In collaboration with other research centers, we conducted research on “People in Politics”, “Human Rights Research”, “Corruption in Mongolia”, “Migration and Children's Livelihoods”, and “Working Conditions for Women in Narantuul FMA”. given. The survey involved department teachers, social workers, and social studies teachers.
Today, the role and importance of specific research in governing society is growing. In addition, we are training researchers and teachers who are able to analyze and study any social phenomenon and process, as well as social workers who are able to provide psychological counseling, taking into account the interests of graduates and market needs.
Since the 2003-2004 academic year, we have been organizing master's degree programs in sociology, and now we are preparing masters for the 10th year.
